The Faculty Farm
The University Research Farm at Mapalana encompasses about
65 ha of both upland and lowland land. It consists of about 12 ha of Lowland
Paddy, 5 ha of Cinnamon, 10 ha of Coconut (hyrids), 5 ha of grassland, 5 ha
of Banana and small extent of Pepper, Coffee, Cloves, Pineapples, Mango, Papaya,
Durian and Vegetales. Quite a sustantial area is still under-utilized. Jak,
Bamboo and large array of timber spicies dominate this area.
